The local conference of the Saint Leo's Parish Saint Vincent de Paul Society was established in 1957 and continues its work today. United with the international Society founded in France by Frederic Ozanam in the 19th century, dedicated men and women work together, study together, and pray together in order to help families and individuals cope with crises and receive temporary financial assistance for food and other necessities.
The St. Vincent de Paul Society runs a food pantry out of St. Leo's Rectory at 108 Main Street. The food pantry is open on Mondays from 4:30 P.M until 5:30 P.M. To sign up for the food pantry, call the St. Vincent de Paul Society at 978-786-7637 between 10:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M. on Monday. Then show up between 4:00 and 5:00 P.M., in the parking lot at the rear of the rectory to obtain your food.
When a holiday falls on a Monday the food pantry will not be open that day. Instead, the food pantry will be open on Tuesday for that week.
