St. Vincent dePaul Society

The local conference of the Saint Leo's Parish Saint Vincent dePaul Society was established in 1957 and continues its work today. United with the international Society founded in France by Frederic Ozanam in the 19th century, dedicated men and women work together, study together, and pray together in order to help families and individuals cope with crises and receive temporary financial assistance for food and other necessities.

Through home visits, evaluations are made about need. Vincentian volunteers assist clients in the parish and wider community with no other criterion than genuine need. Through prayerful support and donations received from members, parishioners, and friends, many people are helped with food, utility bills, and other necessities.

If you or someone you know may need help,
contact Vincentians through Saint Leo's Rectory at 978-537-7257.

For more than 40 years, the pastors of St. Leo's Parish have endorsed the taking of a second collection on Holy Days to support the works of the St. Vincent dePaul. These have been a principal source of income for the charitable works of the society.

Both the members of St. Vincent dePaul and those who have received the blessings and assistance of our generous parishioners through their prayers and material support are forever grateful.

The aid delivered in many forms that included compassionate assistance to better their situation, monthly food allocations, Thanksgiving and Christmas meal baskets, emergency transportation, clothing and shelter relief, etc.

We ask especially, that you continue to offer prayers to those in need as the spiritual help is as important as the material help we offer. Thank you for caring.

Sincerely,
St. Vincent dePaul Society
